Environmental and ethical philosophy

We strongly believe that environmental and social issues are interlinked - to get the best results you need to address the two together.

Reducing our impact on the environment is at the core of everything we do. As reducing emissions is our reason for being, it is essential we walk the talk. Whenever possible we partner with and purchase from organisations that reduce emissions, have positive social impact, minimise use of harmful chemicals or provide organic, local, recycled or fair trade products. Some of our key suppliers include The Cooperative Bank, The Phone Coop, CAF, Tridos, Paperound, Ecover, Calverts...

Our working environment is green, but there is always more work to do. Fundamental to all our decision making is reduce, reuse, recycle. We have always ensured that all electrical equipment is off when not in use, waste paper is recycled and water use is minimised.

We understand that travel is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. Although we will try to keep our travelling to a minimum sometimes our work necessitates travel. We will always try telephone and email communication first and, if no other option is available, we walk or cycle as we have an office pool bike at our disposal. For long distance travel to Europe we travel by train whenever possible.

This year we are embarking on a process to see what more we can do in our new premises, there is a wealth of opportunities and we look forward to telling you all about them in the coming months.

We want our partners, staff and customers to share our beliefs and are happy to share ideas on being an ethical and environmental organisation.
