Our name change

Today ‘carbon' is the word on everyone's lips. Consensus on climate change science has been reached and understanding of the part we have all played in changing our environment has evolved.

As an organisation we have grown up in this changing world. As part of this evolution we are pleased to announce our new name, Carbon Descent. The new name reflects the essence of all we do, the reason we come into work everyday; to reduce carbon emissions.

Previously know as SEA Renue (Sustainable Energy Action our social enterprise and Renewable Energy in the Urban Environment our charity) we've been working with public, private and third sector organisations for the past ten years. Dedication to the environment is still at our core as we work with organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and create a sustainable and equitable future for all.

Our name change provides a reason to talk about our evolution and the skills and expertise we now have within our team. On the pages of this site you will find an outline of how we can help your organisation and case studies of completed projects.
